By now, a weekend at my Mom’s pretty much means that I will be raiding her backyard and making her a floral arrangement. She’s a really good sport about it, helping me out and taking pictures or being an extra set of hands when I need her to. She gets to keep the bouquet, so it’s not that big of a hardship ;-).
This time around, there were a ton of the gorgeous purple flowers in bloom. If you have these in your yard. Pick about 15 stems, as well as some pink and/or white yarrow, and some lupins or other matching flowers. We’ll be using the same technique as we used in our bridal peonies & peony and lily arrangement.
Start with the centre of your bouquet & keep adding in a spiral until you get your desired size and shape.
When you’ve got it the way you want it, wrap your ribbon around and tie, pin or tuck it in.
Trim up your stems, then enjoy your gorgeous bouquet!!
Here’s another variation using the same technique.
